General Data

Serverlogs

Due to technical reasons your device transmits the following data to us as soon as you visit our website:

  • IP address of your device
  • Date and time of your request
  • Which pages you visit: name and URL
  • The amount of data transferred to you
  • The status whether your request succeeded
  • Identifying data of your browser, device and operating system
  • The website from which you initiated the request (in case you accessed an external link to our website)

This data are stored in the server logs in order to validate system security, do technical administration and optimize our services. In case of a hacker incident we forward this data to prosecution authorities. We do not forward these data to any other third parties. Server logs are stored for a maximum of six months.

Cookies

Cookies are small text documents, which are stored on your device on behalf of our website. They might contain information suitable to identify your usage of our website.

Our cookies are necessary in order to offer our services. We do not use tracking or analytics cookies.

  • Session Cookies: Duration of the Session. Are needed in order to manage your visit of our website as well as managing any sessions of logged-in users.

Newsletter

We offer different newsletters both in mail and E-mail. For this purpose we process the following data:

  • Selection of newsletters

Profile Data

In order to stay in contact with ÖSM, you can create a profile on our website. In this profile you can handle all newsletter registrations. Each profile consists of an E-mail address, a password and as well as the following optional data:

  • Sex
  • Salutation
  • Title
  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Organisation
  • Study
  • Phone number
  • Fax
  • Homepage

Profile data is only used to stay in contact with you, e.g., through newsletters and mail. You can manage and delete your data by yourself through the profile feature.

Contact Forms

Our website offers registration for different events as well as other means to get in touch with us. For this purpose we collect different data, depending on the type of contact request:

Main Contact Form

In order to get in touch with us, you can fill the contact form. In this case we process the following data:

  • Name
  • E-Mail address
  • City of studies
  • Status (student, alumni ...)
  • Your message

Your contact request will be forwarded to the appropriate contact person. Your data is not used beyond the purpose of answering your request.

E-Mail

You can also get in touch with us through E-mail. In this case we process the following data:

  • E-Mail address
  • Subject
  • Your message

Event Registration

When you sign up for an ÖSM event on our website, we process the following data:

  • Name
  • Sex
  • Date of birth
  • E-Mail address
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Study / Education / Vocation
  • Dietary requirements
  • Accomodation
  • Financial support

Depending on the type of event we might ask more specific data, which you can enter in the registration form.

This data is only used for the purpose of event management and will be deleted afterwards.

Online Meeting

We do online meetings on Zoom. The legal basis is Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. b) DSGVO.

Protection of Personal Data

We have technical and organizational security measures in place in order to protect your personal data from accidental or illegitimate access, modification, deletion, loss or transfer.

Your Rights

With respect to your private data you have the right for disclosure, correction, deletion, limitation of usage, portability, withdrawal of consent and objection. You can find the contact details below.
